A collection of frequently used IGCSE Physics equations, with symbols and SI units. Use it alongside the current specification for your board and exam year; it is a revision aid, not an official formula sheet or a complete syllabus checklist. Practise choosing and rearranging equations as well as recalling them.
Check the units before substituting: practise physics unit conversions, or work out what a graph gradient means.
Match your revision to the syllabus for your exam year and your Core or Extended entry. The linked 0625 document covers 2026–2028; check the 0972 syllabus separately if that is your qualification code. Do not assume Pearson's equation-sheet arrangements apply to Cambridge exams.
Cambridge IGCSE Physics 0625 — 2026–2028 syllabusThis sheet includes commonly used equations, but course content and the equations supplied in an examination are different checklists. Use the official specification for the complete Physics course and check the right papers for your entry.
Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Physics 4PH1 — specificationPearson confirms full equation-sheet support for International GCSE Physics in 2026 and 2027, including linear and modular routes. Download the official sheet through the linked update and practise using it. Check later exam years for any updated announcement.
Pearson science update — International GCSE equation sheets for 2026 and 2027Original academy revision aid. The exam boards do not endorse this sheet. A supplied equation does not choose the right model for you: identify the quantity, check the conditions, convert units, rearrange and then substitute.

Teachers and parents can link to this free sheet from a school resource page or revision list. Students can print it or save it as a PDF for their own revision.

Choose a question for a direct answer, then explore the explanation and supporting resources. Each answer has its own link to save or share.
This is a revision aid, not permission to bring extra material into an exam. Equation provision and permitted materials depend on the exam board, qualification and session. Check the current official specification and instructions for your exact paper through your school or exam centre.
Practise choosing equations from the physical situation, rearranging them and using consistent units. Even where an equation is supplied, recognising when it applies remains part of the task.
Connect each equation to the meaning of its quantities and practise choosing it from a word problem. For density, ρ = m/V describes mass per unit volume; for pressure, p = F/A describes force per unit area. Check the units as well as the symbols.
After studying one worked example, cover it and solve a new problem with different numbers or an unfamiliar unknown. State the equation first, rearrange if needed, convert the units, substitute and check the answer. This sequence reveals the step that needs work.
