Who is Dr Mohamed Desouky?

Dr Mohamed Desouky is a Physics tutor based in Abu Dhabi. He holds a PhD in Physics and Education and reports more than 30 years of teaching experience with over 3,000 students across his courses. He teaches in person in Khalidiya and through live online groups.

His courses cover Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE Physics, Edexcel International AS and A-Level Physics, and Edexcel M1 Mechanics as a Mathematics unit. Course fit depends on the student's actual qualification, so the board and paper code matter more than the informal name used at school.

How can I assess whether Dr Desouky's teaching suits my child?

Compare the course with your child's exam board, read student accounts, and look at the worked explanations in the free notes. Then discuss their current difficulties, target and availability. A useful match combines understandable explanations with practice, feedback and a timetable the student can sustain.

For a student who understands lessons but loses written-answer marks, ask how explanations and practical responses are practised. For a student who struggles to start calculations, ask how equations and modelling are taught. The notes illustrate the academy's approach to explanation; a direct conversation confirms the arrangements for a particular group.

What support comes with the live online Physics groups?

Online groups have around 20 students and cost AED 150 per 90-minute session. Teaching includes course materials, checked homework, regular assessments and WhatsApp support. Enrolled group students receive recordings for catch-up, and parents can contact Dr Desouky with questions. Schedules vary by exam board.
