Dr Mohamed Desouky teaches Edexcel International AS Physics, the first stage of International A-Level. In-person lessons are available in Khalidiya, near Abu Dhabi Corniche, with live online groups for students in Dubai, Sharjah and across the Gulf.
AS lessons help bridge the step up from IGCSE: choosing equations, setting out calculations, explaining ideas and interpreting practical data. Online groups cost AED 150 per 90-minute session. In-person availability, location and fees are confirmed directly.
XPH11 comprises three units. WPH11 develops mechanics and materials; WPH12 covers waves and electricity; WPH13 assesses practical skills in physics. Lessons keep the content and assessment demands of each unit clear while building the connections needed across IAS Physics.
IAS questions demand more than recall. Students must select models, derive relationships, maintain units through multi-step calculations and explain physical ideas precisely. The course rebuilds those habits from first principles, then applies them to Pearson Edexcel WPH papers.
Exam practice is separated by unit so that revision reflects the student's actual entry. Work for WPH11 and WPH12 trains calculation, explanation and graph interpretation; WPH13 preparation develops experimental design, data handling, uncertainty and evaluation in the form Pearson Edexcel assesses.
Each live online group session lasts 90 minutes and costs AED 150. Timings are agreed with the students in the group, allowing the teaching plan to follow their unit dates and current needs.
Weekly homework is checked individually, regular exams measure progress by unit, and students have direct WhatsApp access to Dr Desouky between sessions.
