IGCSE · AS · A-Level Physics tutor
Live online groups · UAE time · AED 150 for 90 minutes
Students in Sharjah can study IGCSE, AS and A-Level Physics live online with Dr Mohamed Desouky. Join from home and use lesson time for explanations, worked questions and questions of your own. Checked homework and regular assessments support practice between sessions.
Dr Desouky holds a PhD in Physics and Education and has 30+ years of teaching experience, with 3,000+ students taught across his courses and teaching history. Lessons are matched to Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE, or Edexcel International AS and A-Level.
Before you join
Timetables differ by exam board. Send your qualification and intended exam session to confirm the current days, times, time zone and available places.

IGCSE lessons connect topic explanations to calculations, written answers, graphs and practical exam questions. Teaching supports Cambridge 0625/0972 and Edexcel International GCSE linear 4PH1 or modular 4XPH1. Share a school course name or recent paper to identify the right route.
The academy reports historical IGCSE results of 90% A* across its teaching history. These are academy-wide figures, not a Sharjah-only cohort. Read the course details and individual student accounts to assess how the teaching fits your needs.
Live online lessons follow Edexcel International AS and A-Level Physics, including A2. Students practise longer calculations, connected explanations and practical-data questions for the units they are taking. Tell Dr Desouky your current units and exam dates so you can discuss suitable preparation. Cambridge A-Level is not offered.
For A-Level Physics, the academy reports historical results of 35% A* and 90% A*/A across its teaching history. Explore the A-Level results separately from the IGCSE figures. Edexcel M1 Mechanics is available as a separate Mathematics unit.
The published fee is AED 150 for a 90-minute live online group session. Times are agreed with the group in UAE time. Students ask questions during lessons and receive homework, regular assessments and direct WhatsApp support.
For an enquiry, send your school course name or statement of entry, a recent piece of assessed work, your exam date and available times. Add the topics you find difficult and the grade you are working towards. This gives Dr Desouky useful context before discussing the group and timetable.
The lessons offered to Sharjah students are online. If you prefer to attend in person, Dr Desouky teaches in Khalidiya near Abu Dhabi Corniche; confirm an appointment, availability and in-person fees before travelling.
In their words
His condensed A* notes are so simple but include everything. I went from being lost in class to finishing my exam 20 minutes early.

Questions
Choose a question for a direct answer, then explore the explanation and supporting resources. Each answer has its own link to save or share.
Yes. Send a recent exam-paper cover, statement of entry or school course name. Dr Desouky can use it to identify Cambridge or Edexcel IGCSE, or Edexcel International AS or A-Level Physics. You do not need to memorise the code before enquiring.
A textbook title can be a clue, but confirm it against the course entered by the school or exam centre. Similar book covers can refer to different specifications. The correct identification is especially useful for Edexcel linear versus modular IGCSE, and International versus UK A-Level. Once the course is clear, compare the group's current topics and timetable with the student's needs.
A 90-minute live online group session costs AED 150. Groups are around 20 students, with the timetable confirmed for the relevant exam board in UAE time. Ask about the proposed session pattern before budgeting; a fixed monthly package is not published.
Judge a group by whether the student can attend consistently, follow the relevant course and act on feedback between sessions. A longer lesson is useful only if the student participates and practises afterwards. If you are comparing several options, write down the lesson duration, board match and feedback arrangements alongside the price so the comparison reflects what the student will use.
Yes. Lessons include checked homework, regular assessments and direct WhatsApp support from Dr Desouky. Joined students receive recorded sessions for catching up. Bring your attempted working when asking about a question so the explanation can focus on the step you need to improve.
For example, if an electricity answer is wrong, show the circuit, the equation you chose and the values you substituted. This reveals whether the difficulty is recognising a series or parallel connection, rearranging a formula or converting units. Reattempting the question after feedback is more useful than keeping the corrected answer without testing the method again.
No travel is required for the live online groups serving Sharjah. Dr Desouky's in-person sessions are in Khalidiya, near Abu Dhabi Corniche, and have separate appointment arrangements and fees. The Sharjah service is online; it does not advertise a local classroom.
Plan a quiet study space with a device, a reliable connection, writing materials and the relevant questions. Keep your own written working during the session, even when the teacher's solution is visible. If you specifically want in-person attendance, discuss the Abu Dhabi location before deciding; the online timetable should not be treated as a walk-in appointment.
Confirm the exact exam-board coverage, group format, timetable and how homework is reviewed. Read results by qualification and discuss the student's recent work. The most useful comparison is whether the support addresses their actual difficulty, rather than whether a tutor appears under a particular city name.
A student losing marks through unit errors needs different practice from one who cannot explain the physics behind an answer. Take a small sample of marked work to the course discussion. Ask how questions are handled during and between lessons, and check that the student is comfortable participating in a group of around 20 students.
Discuss the missing topics and your board before choosing a group. Joined students receive recorded sessions to support catching up, but the right starting point depends on what they already understand. A short diagnostic and recent school work can help make that discussion specific.
Start with a prerequisite that blocks several later topics. For instance, difficulty rearranging speed, density or resistance equations can affect many calculations even when the underlying ideas are familiar. Work through one example, then attempt a fresh question unaided. Use that result to decide whether the next step is more foundation practice or returning to the current school topic.
Confirm that the next course is Edexcel International AS Physics, which is the AS qualification Dr Desouky teaches. Then review algebra, units, graph interpretation and the explanation of familiar physics. An IGCSE grade alone does not identify every skill that needs strengthening for AS.
Try explaining why an equation applies before substituting values, and practise rearranging equations with more than one step. At AS, a question may connect several ideas rather than identify the required formula directly. Discuss your new school's qualification and the units you will sit so you use appropriate resources instead of treating all A-Level material as interchangeable.
