Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE Physics tutoring in the UAE

Choose the lesson format before comparing timetables. For in-person teaching, ask about the Khalidiya location and whether the available group matches your exam board. For online teaching, check the course and session time without planning a journey. A location page for Dubai, Sharjah or another emirate describes the area served online; it does not indicate another classroom.
Which IGCSE, AS and A-Level Physics courses do you teach in the UAE?
Dr Desouky teaches Cambridge IGCSE Physics 0625/0972, Edexcel International GCSE Physics linear 4PH1 and modular 4XPH1, and Edexcel International AS and A-Level Physics, including A2. Edexcel M1 Mechanics is offered for Mathematics students. Cambridge A-Level Physics is not offered.
The word Physics on a school timetable is not enough to choose a course. Match the awarding body, qualification and exam route before selecting notes or papers. In particular, Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge A-Level are different qualifications, while Edexcel International A-Level should not be assumed to follow the UK A-Level specification. A recent paper or statement of entry usually resolves the uncertainty.
How much do physics lessons cost?
A 90-minute live online group session costs AED 150. In-person lesson fees in Abu Dhabi are confirmed separately. The published online price is a group-session rate; check the proposed timetable and number of sessions when considering your study budget.
For example, four online sessions at the published rate total AED 600; this is arithmetic, not a monthly package or a promise of four sessions each month. Actual spending depends on the sessions arranged. Ask about the relevant group before comparing prices so that lesson duration, format and course level are being compared consistently.
How do I book physics tutoring?
Contact Dr Desouky with the student's course, exam date, recent assessed work and available times. State whether you want in-person lessons in Abu Dhabi or online tuition. A school course name or exam-paper cover is enough to begin if you do not know the syllabus code.
Make the enquiry specific: explain whether the main difficulty is understanding topics, calculations, written answers or finishing papers. A marked question is more informative than a target grade alone because it shows the current method. Share only the information needed for the course discussion; unrelated personal details on school documents can be covered before sending.
Should I choose physics tuition by city, exam board or school year?
Start with your exact exam board and qualification, then check lesson format and timetable. A student's city determines whether local in-person attendance is practical, but it does not determine the physics syllabus. School-year labels alone can also hide differences between courses.
Two students in the same year can need different papers because one follows Cambridge IGCSE and the other Edexcel International GCSE. Likewise, AS and A2 groups work on different stages of International A-Level. Confirming the specification avoids paying for support aimed at material you will not be examined on, while still allowing shared physics concepts to be practised using the free resources.
What can a student do before discussing a physics group?
Attempt a short set of questions independently and keep the working, including mistakes. Pick two topics to discuss and bring the relevant course details. This gives the teacher a clearer starting point than saying that all of physics is difficult.
Separate three situations: not knowing which principle applies, knowing the principle but making a calculation error, and knowing the answer but not explaining it clearly.
